Half Marathon

Week 1- Holy Moly I am out of Shape

Okay let me rephrase the title, I am out of cardiovascular endurance shape.  Give me a 7 min AMRAP (as many reps as possible) or a squat clean max session and I would not hesitate in the slightest about smashing that workout.  But when you go from that, to running at a moderate pace for a long period of time, it down right feels like you’re moving through quick sand.  This week was all about setting intentions and making a plan on how I am going to accomplish it, and I knew starting off slow was the right thing to do.  This week was also about remembering all the little muscles that running targets and how incredibly sore they can become.  No like seriously, cannot walk sore.  Excited to really start running more this next week!


Monday- Crossfit

17 min AMRAP
5 Power Snatches (65#)
10 Box Jumps (20″)
15 T2B (candlesticks)

Tuesday- Crossfit

Back Squat
5 x 5
12 minutes to complete

20 cal Bike
50 Wall Balls (14#)
100 Double Unders

Wednesday- 3 mile run

Thursday- Crossfit

5 Rounds
200m Row
3 Squat Cleans (185#/125#)
8 Bar Facing Burpees
Rest 2 min between Rounds

Friday- Off

Saturday- Off

Sunday- 1 mile walk
